Cagney Contract Cleaning was founded in 1977 by Patrick Cagney to provide a professional cleaning service to a wide range of clients. He was joined in 1979 by Garvan Cagney, his brother. Today the company employs more than 950 staff, has its Head Office and Moderated Training Centre at Unit 17, The Hub Logistics Park, Bracetown, Dublin 15.
On 1st July 2018 Cagney Contract Cleaning successfully merged with National Support Services, combining the best of both Companies to improve the delivery of services on the ground to our clients and appointed Shane Curran as Director.
The objective of the merger was to combine the Directors & Management teams of both Companies to provide better continuity of management of the merged entity and to enable a controlled retirement plan without affecting the running of the business.
Both Companies have similar philosophies which makes this merger an excellent fit; client focused, delivering high standards of service, dedicated training for all cleaning staff, strong management & supervision, and both companies are award winning companies in the cleaning industry.
In January 2019, the Samsic Group acquired a majority shareholding in Cagney Contract Cleaning. The company continues to have a shareholding director and Shane Curran will remain as Director who will steer the Company into the future. With Cagney being part of the Samsic Group, we will have access to further expertise and business development opportunities through our European counterparts in Samsic.
